Darwin
has the distinction as being the northernmost capital
city in Australia. Its relative isolation from the other
major cities means that it has had the opportunity to
develop a somewhat different culture from the rest. Its
has a unique history which has links with Indonesian
traders and early Chinese settlers, as well as an
Aboriginal heritage. This gives it truly multi-cultural
feel amidst a modern and vibrant city. That is not to
mention its proximity to awe-inspiring natural
wonders like Ayers Rock and Alice Springs.
